WILLIAM JEWELL COLLEGE LAUNCHES NEW ACT-IN SITE
Lawrence, Kan.- William Jewell College and AllofE Solutions extend their relationship with the creation and launch of its ACT-In Web site. The new site provides students with information about the ACT-In program including details for students on how to earn a second major by completing core curriculum, plus three active learning experiences.
The ACT-In program, which stands for Applied Critical Thought and Inquiry, teaches students critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, and collaboration skills. The site includes information on how the program can be integrated with the student’s current major, the program’s core course descriptions, as well as all the components approved for the three active learning experiences. Also featured on the site are video testimonials from students currently enrolled in the program.
ABOUT WILLIAM JEWELL’S ACT-IN
After completing ACT-In program’s core curriculum, students participate in an active learning experience, such as an internship, study abroad, or research project. The active learning experience must be completed in each of the following areas: Reflective Citizenship, Disciplinary Scholarship, and Active Engagement. The program enables students to make a strong impression on future employers or graduate schools by showing they are willing to go above and beyond what is required of them.
