eCurriculum How It Works

 

 

eCurriculum is a powerful and flexible tool for the creation and management of your district’s curriculum. All of eCurriculum’s features are browser-based which allows teachers, students and parents anytime-anywhere access to curriculum-based information. Course information changes are immediately reflected in the web based course guide.  The advanced security mechanism controls data management access on a per-user basis. All of this combined with eCurriculum’s intuitive interface help to streamline the curriculum management process and allow districts to easily share curriculum information with teachers, parents and students.

Courses
     
Manage all your district's courses through eCurriculum’s course listing feature. Associate custom district information such as standards and goals with each course. Define objectives, lesson plans, scope, and sequence of the curriculum being taught.
   

Course Management: Create, edit, and manage every course in your curriculum, including associated goals, objectives, standards, and lesson plans.

Course Objectives: Define prerequisites, assessments, learning materials, and objectives for every course. Ensure students learn what is intended by tying in state specific knowledge standards and grade level expectations.

   

Course Guides: Automatically generate and customize course guides that can be printed or published as a web page and linked to your district’s existing web site.

   

Documentation: Integrate all of your existing documentation into one central location allowing you to quickly access all curriculum information related to a particular course or subject area.

 
Standards
     
Use pre-existing district standards or create your own using eCurriculum’s simple text editing feature. eCurriculum automatically aligns its features and functionality with state defined or district defined learning standards to allow standard integration and tracking.
   

Knowledge Standards:  Define knowledge standards per subject area based on the standards set at your state, district, and school levels, and connect them to each objective in a course guide.

   

Goal Management:  Create and manage multiple levels of goals and connect them to each objective in a course guide.

   

Bloom's Taxonomy:  Automatically scan objectives for Bloom’s taxonomy verbs to determine the level at which the objective is being taught.

   

Standards Management: Create, edit, and import new and existing standards and goals into your current curriculum through a simple, point-and-click, word-processor like interface.

 
Mapping & Planning
     
Management of your curriculum is simplified with eCurriculum’s planning and mapping functionality. Create course plans and curriculum maps easily and automatically. Generate and publish maps and plans into Web sites to be linked and customized easily to existing district webpages.
   

Scope & Sequence: Provide standards and benchmarks for introducing, developing, reviewing, and mastering concepts per subject area and per grade level.

   

Lesson Plans: Ensure course objectives are met through Lesson Plans with the ability to include and attach course materials and documents. Link Lesson Plans to state grade level expectations and learning standards to ensure alignment to state curricula.

   

Curriculum Maps:  Map each course objective to goals, standards, competency strands, Bloom's taxonomy, and grade level expectations.  Ensure that curriculum objectives are aligned with grade level requirements.

   

Web-Based Reference: Publish course guides and curriculum maps to your district's Web site for anywhere, anytime access for teachers.

   

Reference Links:  Create links to view associated grade level expectations and goals directly from the web-based course guide or curriculum map.

   

Printing:  Format and print course guides as well as curriculum guides, maps, and scope and sequence documentation at the click of a button.
