DigitalM includes advanced functionality such as image viewers, light tables, presentation and lecture creators, and cross-collection searches that enable you to share your image collections with other organizations, institutions, and users.  Image definition and categorization allows you to organize and locate images quickly and easily.  DigitalM gives you complete control over your libraries, collections, and image metadata.

Image Management
     
DigitalM provides managing and tracking for all of your image collections from one system. Maintain detailed information about each image and perform extensive searches within a collection or across all collections.
 

Listing Screens: DigitalM presents the contents of each collection with four fields of caption data, and displays navigation keys to help users browse the collection.

Image Details: Clicking on a particular image will provide access to view complete slide details, which consist of a comprehensive and fully customizable set of information about the image.

 

Image Viewer: DigitalM’s Image Viewer allows users to view various images at one time and place the images anywhere on the Viewer Pallet. Maximize, minimize and arrange images for detailed comparisons and viewing. Add and view detailed annotations. Easily print images from the Viewer Pallet.

 
Presentations and Lecture Slides
     
More than just an image management tool, DigitalM provides a wealth of features for manipulating image data for any use. Images can be grouped into collections, which can be used to instantly create comprehensive presentations, including annotations, capability to zoom in for more detail, and other advanced functionality.
 

Advanced Viewing: Provides high-resolution views and advanced zooming power. The advanced zooming functionality allows users to zoom in on the very smallest detail of the image. Click on one section of the image and progressively zoom in on just that detail.

 

Collection Grouping: Enables the creation of photo albums, lectures and presentations through the Image Viewer interface. Every presentation in DigitalM is fully dynamic. Each collection has its own customizable set of metadata, so you can decide which data fields you need.

 

Creating Presentations: DigitalM’s Collections Feature allows users to create an ample combination of images, detailed notes and comparisons of different images. Users can save any number of images into their own working photo albums, lectures or presentations, which are either private or shared. Presentation groups can be created using images from any collection. Once each screen is built and added to the presentation collection, DigitalM automatically generates the web-enabled series of slides.

 
Reporting and Information Management
     
DigitalM's robust reporting functionality allows users to generate customized or preset reports on the fly. The system's advanced search capability provides efficient and comprehensive browsing of the entire image library.
 

Formatted Printing: Simplify the printing process through multiple customizable formats. Image information can be printed on library catalog cards or slide labels. Predefine the printing information as well as the location on the printed medium. Print multiple sets of information at one time by entering individual tracking numbers and tracking number ranges.

 

Comprehensive Reporting: DigitalM delivers a variety of analysis reports. Choose from standard collection statements to customized analyses, which you can preview and print. Create reports based on image data, related architect or artist information and tracking codes. DigitalM also provides annual reports to measure the dollar value of collections based on fiscal year, category, type, etc.

 

Advanced Search: DigitalM has customizable and extensive search options for finding assets quickly and easily. Various levels of searching exist from basic to multiple detailed searches. Drop down lists for fields like "Art Form" or "Country" are included to make search selections faster. DigitalM supports more advanced customized searching by allowing users to build a search by selecting the data fields, operators and values of the collection.

 

Data Exporting: Allows administrative users to export descriptive data records in an Excel spreadsheet, so that it can be stored for review offline.

 
Approval Processes
     
In the event that a user in the system needs to update or add information about an image, complete approval processes are available to ensure the accuracy of all information entered. Control the information being entered about an image using customized approval processes that make sure the right people check the information before it is added to the records.  Any changes are checked with your organization's administrators before they are finalized in the records. 
 

Work In Progress for the Administrator: For the Approver, the Work in Progress screen contains all records that need approval sorted by category and user.

 

Work In Progress for the User: For the Entry User who is adding record data, the WIP screen consists of the records that have been created by that user but have not been approved, and each record's status in the approval process.

 

Workflow Tracking: Track workflow processes based on category and user ID, define different levels of access and approve records at the click of a button. Ensure that only accurate information appears on your collection site.
