LAWRENCE, Kan. -- The SchoolE Awards winners for 2011 have been announced: Clear Creek ISD in the large category, York County Public Schools in the medium category, and Lexington City Schools in the small category. After closing voting yesterday at 5 PM EST, the SchoolE Awards Team validated all of the votes to come up with the final vote counts which are listed below.

The SchoolE Awards aims to recognize not only the best in school district website design and strategy, but also districts whose community rallies around the website, said Lindsay Magruder, SchoolE Awards coordinator.
"This year's contest was so much bigger and better than last year's contest," said Magruder. "The SchoolE website received hits from more than 60 countries and tens of thousands of people. The districts in this year's contest got so much exposure, which is one of the biggest goals of the SchoolE Awards: to give these districts the recognition they deserve."
