WISE IEP Tips & Tutorials

Managing the IEP

Enter the IEP date information on the first tab of the IEP so that when you complete the other sections of the IEP, it will automatically populate the date values in those sections.

When you complete the Special Considerations section, the system will evaluate your answers and automatically generate a list of additional forms that need to be completed for the student.

When rolling the Draft IEP over to the current IEP, you must first archive the current IEP.

Printing and Reporting

When printing all or part of the IEP, you can select to print a draft version and the system will print DRAFT on the printout.

You must first complete the baselines, goals and benchmarks section of the IEP in order to generate a progress report.

Information Sharing and Collaboration

To allow other teachers to view a student's IEP, select the student and click the permissions button.  You can give specific teachers the ability to view and edit the student's information.

Logging In

Make sure your Caps Lock is not set when typing your user name and password. They are case sensitive.

To protect your information and settings, it's best to log out and close your browser when you are done using an application.

Security

When creating a password you should use both letters and numbers to assure privacy.

You should never share your password.

Make sure you pick a unique password, which cannot be easily guessed.

Your password should not be the same as your login name.

Using multiple user levels gives you more control over access to your system.

General Tips

To change your screen size, right click on your desktop and select properties. Select the settings tab. There is a slider called ‘Screen Area’ on the lower right. Move that up or down.
