The basic template is quick, simple and has less fields to input information than the detailed template.

The detailed template is informative and descriptive. It has more information than the basic including fields such as vocabulary, discussion questions, suggested readings and more.

Scheduling Tips

Go to the My Lessons tab, select your lesson, click the schedule button, select the date. Click remove to cancel the lesson.

To reschedule a lesson plan to a different date, simply select the plan, go to schedule and change the date you would like to reschedule to.

Navigation Tips

There are two views in TheLessonPlanBook - a weekly calendar view and a list view. You can switch between them by clicking 'Weekly View' or 'My Lessons' on the control panel at the top of the application.

To share a lesson plan, click the Permissions link below the lesson plan listing. If you can't see the link, click on the calendar on the day the lesson is scheduled, and then on the lesson plan title.

Today's date in Calendar View will always be highlighted so it is easy to spot as soon as you log in. The days you have a lesson scheduled will be highlighted a different color.

Logging In

Make sure your Caps Lock is not set when typing your user name and password. They are case sensitive.

To protect your information and settings, it's best to log out and close your browser when you are done using an application.

Security

When creating a password you should use both letters and numbers to assure privacy.

You should never share your password.

Make sure you pick a unique password, which cannot be easily guessed.

Your password should not be the same as your login name.

For districts, using multiple user levels gives you more control over access to your system.

General Tips

To change your screen size, right click on your desktop and select properties. Select the settings tab. There is a slider called ‘Screen Area’ on the lower right. Move that up or down.
